I was really inspired by Umut Yamac's Perch Light. I really like how nature is embodied in a form of minimalistic fabrication. Thus, I created an aluminum rose focusing on the use of aluminum and paper.
My sources were fairly limited for this project, so I spent a lot of time on the design. I wanted to use as many of the resources I already had to complete this project. I was very inspired by the Perch Light project by Umut Yamac and fabricated a rose out of aluminum, metal wire, a jewelry box, and a pin. I really enjoyed this project because it forced me to think how I could use the resources I already had without having to buy anything new.
